Festival Sundiata Presents Black Arts Fest Brings a Citywide Family Reunion to Seattle Center
On Saturday, Aug. 22 and Sunday, Aug. 23 as part of Seattle Center Festál in the Seattle Center Armory Food & Event Hall, Mural Amphitheatre, and Fisher Pavilion. This year’s festival embraces the theme “The Family Reunion,” presented by Sundiata African American Cultural Association (SAACA).
At Seattle Center Armory, 305 Harrison St. in Seattle, Brazilian culture is brought to life through music, samba, dazzling costumes, and authentic cuisine. Some performances take place in an outdoor amphitheater.
Originally built for the 1962 World’s Fair, this 74-acre civic campus brings together many of Seattle’s top attractions within an easy walk of one another. Anchored by the iconic Space Needle, Seattle Center is home to museums, theaters, and playgrounds.

For one weekend this August, Seattle will once again become a hub for tattoo culture as the Seattle Tattoo Expo returns to Seattle Center Exhibition Hall from Friday, August 14, through Sunday, August 16, 2026.
The Starbucks that closed in the Seattle Center Armory building earlier this year has been replaced with a new coffeeshop, The Groundskeeper.
Add the Laser Dome, KEXP Gathering Space (fuel up with a coffee from Caffé Vita), and International Fountain, and the whole Seattle Center orbit becomes the plan. LEGO Artemis Adventure runs through September 7.
